Celebrations, party themes and season to season options

Season to season, it does not matter when we celebrate, parties can always have their challenges. Aside from the challenges, what we can all agree on is that we want a memorable, fun and stress free event that will be enjoyed by all guests. So lets get into some super fun "seasonal" ideas, but don't get stuck on the season aspect just yet...

When it comes to seasons to celebrate in, the favorite for many usually tends to be the warm summer months where we have the option to enjoy the great outdoors. Where the party ideas seem endless. From garden parties, to beach parties with water fights, tea parties with many flavors of tea, tiki parties (don't forget the limbo game) to dress up parties, have a bin of random clothing, costumes, aprons, jewelry, whatever you can compile. It's almost as though the summer months pave the way to creativity when we open our eyes to the growth and the newness of life welcomed back after the quiet hibernation of the cold winter months.

Spring months offer many fun and delightful ideas as well though. How about a spring fling party with floral crowns or mini planters. How about a kite party, which can be especially fun on a cool crisp spring breezy spring day. Or how about a spring brunch, an idea would be finding a local maple syrup farm as they often will serve up pancake brunches during that time of year, a super fun spring party idea.

Fall, the colours offer a world of wonder to the explorer. This is a wonderful time of year for apple picking, piñata play, bon fires, tug a war. So many games come to mind... A bbq or bon fire. Create a bon fire with construction paper if you don't have an outdoor option. What about a pirate party, so many ideas with a park visit, some leaf piling and stick sword wars, I see a winner. Lets not forget bringing in the fall season also means Halloween, and every kid loves playing dress up.

Maybe you have winter babies, and you might be thinking winter is hard, believe me I get that but this is why I started Splatz, because my kids are winter babies. Winter has so much to offer. Think winter sports, skating , skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing. The winter brings a whole new world of fun too when it comes to creativity, from snow men and snow sculptures, to snow forts. There is something wonderful about the cold crisp, white winters of where my family and business reside.

But, all things considering, the best thing about any type of celebration, from birthday's to retirement parties, to bridal showers, weddings, specific times of the year, and so on and so forth, is that we are spending time with family and friends and those we love.

We do not have to stick to the specific confines of the season when the whole fun of the celebration is to simply that, to celebrate!
